So this is a blog...I'm not sure what I'm going to write about but it will probably include some west coast swing dancing stuff. I've been corresponding back and forth with another dancer and have seen the need for a place where we can "nicely" write about the things we wish for in terms of dancing.
The first thing I'll write about is where the hand should be in closed position. It always surprises me when a leader, especially one who has been dancing a long time, puts his hand on my lower back in closed position. I understand laziness and lack of knowledge, but I've heard it taught properly so many times in so many classes, that I don't understand how leaders can still put their hand on my lower back.
The only reason to touch my lower back is to give me a back rub, and that's not appropriate.
